About Duke’s Waikiki
Duke’s Waikiki is named for Duke Kahanamoku, who grew up swimming, surfing, canoeing and bodysurfing at Waikīkī; in 1929, the restaurant notes, Duke rode a wave for one and an eighth miles there, likely the longest ride in modern times.
